DRAMATURGY OF BIOSPHERIC CYCLES
« Dramaturgy of Biospheric Cycles » est une installation multiformes, composée d’un triptyque cylindrique accroché au mur et autonome en système d’écran, accompagnée par un univers sonore »), et qui nous parlent des lois éternelles des cycles de la Biosphère terrestre. Les images de l’installation vidéo sont composées de différentes matières visuelles issues de dessins et conceptions à 2 et 3 dimensions.
À coté, une série de carottes géologiques nous font découvrir, à travers leur strates, des périodes et cycles de la Terre et de la Géosphère.
Une planche retro-éclairée nous fait croiser d’une manière sensible, les lignes horizontales et verticales de répertoire d’éléments de ces deux organes de la planète.
Présentation
Dans le pénombre, trois formes lumineuses, hypnotiques et mystérieuses sont en métamorphose permanente. Des entités, des formes naturelles émergent pour traverser des par des perturbations, dérégulations, destructions. Puis elles se transforment en artifices, en structures et en architectures, pour repasser à l’état minéral, au végétal, à l’animal. La dramaturgie amène ici l’idée d’une narration, ce que l’oeuvre nous raconte au sujet des cycles de la Terre. En sciences d’écologie, Il y a des processus de transformations cycliques chimiques (de l’eau, de carbone, de l’azote...) qui forment les environnements naturels dans lesquels se retrouve la biosphère. La Biosphère c’est l’ensemble des écosystèmes de la Terre comprenant tous les êtres vivants. Ces cycles de Terre créent un équilibre complexe permettant la survie de la Biosphère.
Inspirée par ces cycles de perturbations et destructions, puis par la capacité de régulations de la biosphère, la vidéo de Dramaturgy Of Biospheric Cycles est conçue par une seule boucle vidéo. Cette dernière se décline avec un décalage temporel dans le triptyque, sans que le visiteur se rende compte que ce sont les mêmes apparitions. Ainsi l’œuvre est construite par une boucle des cycles imbriqués sans début et fin qui s’entrecroisent entre leurs différentes états et phases pour parler d’une même logique au sein des sphères terrestres, des mêmes cycles, d’une même perturbation, d’une même reprise. La planche lumineuse liste des entités et formes émergées au sein de cette dramaturgie biosphérique de notre époque et complète l’œuvre. La présence de la matière géologique des carottes donne un ancrage aux entités palpitantes de la vidéo. Ce contraste enrichit et renforce la proposition de l’œuvre. La planche faite établit une rencontre entre ces deux éléments en formant une pièce nouvelle. L’ensemble tente d’offrir une expérience poétique des organes de la Terre.

It is the question of disturbances and destruction of the environment, then the regulatory capacity of the biosphere that motivated the creation of this work. The work is constructed by a loop of nested cycles without beginning and end that intersect between their different states to speak of the same logic: the same cycles, the same disturbance, the same recovery.

Then they are transformed into artifice, structure and architecture, returning to the mineral, vegetable and animal states. "Dramaturgy of Biospheric Cycles" is a triptych video-mapping installation with a sound universe. The images are composed of different visual materials derived from two- and three-dimensional drawings and designs. The installation is completed by a backlit repertory board of elements from the video installation.
The dramaturgy brings to mind the idea of a narrative, the work's version of what happens in the Earth's cycles. In the science of ecology, there are cyclical chemical transformation processes (of water, carbon, nitrogen...) that form the natural environments in which the biosphere is found. The biosphere is made up of all the Earth's ecosystems, including all living beings. These Earth cycles create a complex equilibrium that ensures the Biosphere's survival. Inspired by these cycles of disruption and destruction, then the biosphere's capacity for regulation, the video in Dramaturgy Of Biospheric Cycles is conceived as a single video loop. This loop is repeated at different times throughout the triptych, without the visitor realizing that they are the same. In this way, the work is constructed by a loop of overlapping cycles with no beginning and no end, which intersect in their different states and phases to speak of a logic within the terrestrial spheres: the same cycles, the same disruption, the same resumption. From cellular respiration in Dissimilarium to theories of morphogenetic fields in Morphogenetic Tension, Golnaz Behrouznia’s artistic oeuvre brings to light essential yet invisible foundational structures of our world. Her Dramaturgy of Biospheric Cycles calls attention to processes invisible to us because of physical—and temporal—scale. Although invisible to us, these processes are the building blocks of all forms of life, be it human, plant, or any conceivable creature.
